About NahHO and Allan Code
Allan “Al” Code is a Filmmaker and Producer. He’s been based in Northern Canada ever since 1971. He is a Producer of documentary series, features and shorts. Executive Director NahHO! Productions Inc, and has been Yukon-based since 1997.
In addition, NahHO Productions reflects Traditional Knowledge, Science, Natural History and Northern Stories with independence, authenticity and integrity.

In 1896, the SS Queen departs Seattle, bound for the fabled Klondike Gold Rush. On board are thousands of would-be miners, most of who are American, all driven to risk their time, money, and lives amidst a great depression... a depression caused in large part, by high tariffs! And yet, there’s so much more to the story...
Yukon Unwritten takes us from Ice Age Beringia, through the brutal realities of the Goldfields and beyond. Our story flows from the land, unfolding through the eyes of its traditional custodians and new arrivals.

Yukon Unwritten may be viewed as a feature Documentary in 16 linked chapters, each between 6 - 17 minutes in length. Dene
1971: five film students in their early 20s make a documentary with the Sayisi Dene, who had been relocated to the brawling Seaport town of Churchill, Manitoba. After 15 years of societal decay and the loss of one third of their people; in 1971 the Sayisi Dene are moving back to their homeland. It has taken much of a lifetime to finally begin to understand how this tragedy happened - see: Nuhoniyeh: Our Story.

Pandemic: At the End of the World
In March 2020; the world is ablaze with covid. In panic; misinformation is spreading just as fast. How do we get ahead of it all?
We know that in remote places like the Amazon, the death toll, especially in remote Indigenous communities is catastrophic.
Will Northern Canada be next? The North has a long and tragic history of epidemic devastation.
With the testimony of Historian Randal Pokiak (Bukik) we learn about the abandonment of one of the oldest continuously occupied communities in North America; and how a series of epidemics turned it into an open-air graveyard… twice.
