Mission Statement for NahHO

Documentaries, Drama, Television Productions, and more. Based in Northern Canada, we make films that humble themselves before the subject. Our films honour human responses to the land. We make films "with" people, not “on” them. We treat all individuals and regions equally with a respectful, non-colonial attitude. We aim to get the story right; whether it be documentary or drama.

The photo (right) was taken in the Upper 40mile River region of eastern Alaska. Joe DeGraff and I are in the calving ground of the Forty-mile caribou herd, filming caribou calving, wolves, grizzlies, and wolverine gathered at this event in late May. Joe and I are immersed within an amazing environment in the middle of an even more amazing wildlife event.

When filming such moments, we often feel the prod of an awareness; that our cameras are sharing something our own eyes have never seen before.

In this age of widespread deception, we are not “stock footage”. NahHo Productions, founded in 2003, is committed to honesty and authenticity in visual storytelling.
